Classical music in fortresses

Exciting classical events in a historical setting are offered by many event festivals. Highlights include the "Best of Mozart Series" at Hohensalzburg Fortress (AT), with chamber concerts of Viennese classics, string quartets and solo performances throughout the year. Operas, operettas and musicals also enjoy great popularity in fortresses, e.g. at the Wilhelmsburg in the federal fortress of Ulm (DE).

The multi-day "Pol'and'Rock Festival" (formerly Haltestelle Woodstock) with hundreds of thousands of guests in the Kostrzyn Fortress (PL) or the EXIT Music Festival in the Novi Sad Fortress (RS) are among the annual highlights of major European music events.
