Lieu de culture, de loisirs et d'histoire vivante des deux c\u00f4t\u00e9s du Danube<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Le Fort Monostor (Fort Sandberg) a \u00e9t\u00e9 construit entre 1850 et 1871 et compte parmi les plus grandes forteresses de l'histoire moderne en Europe centrale. Ce monument historique de la guerre n\u00e9oclassique, inscrit sur la liste des candidats au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO, offre un spectacle somptueux avec ses murs monumentaux en pierres soigneusement fa\u00e7onn\u00e9es et assembl\u00e9es, ses remparts et son r\u00e9seau de casemates long de plusieurs kilom\u00e8tres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La salle d'instruction sur les armes \u00e0 feu est unique en Europe en raison de son anciennet\u00e9, de sa raret\u00e9 et de ses peintures murales inhabituelles. Le bastion du Danube, magnifiquement r\u00e9nov\u00e9, abrite des maquettes de bateaux militaires datant de l'\u00e9poque de la monarchie austro-hongroise.
