FORTE CULTURA Station: Westwall Museum Bunker Emilie (DE)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n

Westwall camouflage bunker with history<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Emilie museum bunker is one of the few surviving buildings of the Westwall, which stretched from Kleve to Basel with its approx. 18,000 bunkers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bunker was named after Emilie H., who lived in the camouflage building above the bunker during the war and lived there until her death in the early 1980s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2009, Regelbau 11 has been home to a museum, which was initially financed from private funds. In 2017, the association \"Museumsbunker Emile e.V.\" was founded, which is now responsible for the preservation of the bunker. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Emilie\" can be viewed on request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Westwall bunker is part of the Franco-German Regional Network Fortresses and Defence History on the Upper Rhine 1870-1999<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
